In early November we went with Roger and Peg to Park City, Utah to experience some mountain life. It was unseasonably warm, and good for hiking and sightseeing. While there we also visited the US Winter Olympics Training Center, the Great Salt Lake and Temple Square in Salt Lake City. On one hike, Paula Face-Timed with Ben to show him his first moose.
We had spent a couple of weeks in York, England in May talking about the latest high temperature gas turbine technology. In June, we returned to England for two more weeks for an organized tour of England’s role in the Industrial Revolution in the 18th-19th Centuries. John found all of the machinery, bridges, ships, factories, etc. fascinating. Paula was a good sport. After the tour, we visited Paula’s relatives in Bristol.
